Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.04% in April 11–Monday

MOSCOW, Apr 19 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation decelerated to 0.04% from April 11 through Monday from 0.11% in the previous week, and reached 1.88% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.

The prices for fruit and vegetables increased by 0.7% on average. The prices for cabbage grew by 5.7%, for onions by 4.2%, for apples and bananas by 1.4%, for cucumbers by 0.7%, and for beet roots by 0.5%. At the same time, prices for tomatoes decreased by 1.5%, for potatoes by 0.7%, and for carrots by 0.4%.

The prices for wheat flour went down by 1.27%, for buckwheat by 0.69%, for milk by 0.45%, and for bologna sausage by 0.4%.

The gasoline and diesel fuel prices remained almost flat.
